Scout Mech
About 6 hours on this, starting from a tiny thumbnail I did earlier. That background dude sure looks startled, doesn't he?

Booster process
Ask and ye shall receive! I had saved out a process series way back when doing this piece, and here I've strung 'em together in a somewhat clumsy gif. The initail image is an inked sketch on paper and riddled with flaws of all kinds- Photoshop to the rescue!
EDIT! It looks like Blogger won't upload the animated gif, so you're stuck with the inks. Oh, well! You can see it on my DeviantArt page

Jury Duty doodles
I was up for jury duty again last fall and kept up my tradition of passing the time with a sketchbook. I was actually called for the selection process and sat there all day unable to sketch. That night my wife reminded me that were going out of town that very Friday- damn, I'd totally forgotten! I had to fess up to the judge the next morning- and she transformed from a kindly grandmother to a scathing ice queen in nothing flat! I was, shall we say, humbled before the court and dismissed. I totally forgot about these sketches until a week or so ago- so here they is!

The Bat run ragged
Once again I had the good luck to get to do a new Batman concept for our latest DCUO teaser. Poor Bruce- at least he wasn't killed so ignominiously as was thought in our first short! I changed the bat-symbol seen here to match the earlier version.
At the rough sketch stage we were thinking about giving him cyber-legs as well, but they went by the wayside. The monster-arm wouldn't have been conducive to motion-capture- too pricey!

From The Inferno...
I found this old piece in the archives- a sheet for the shades of the dead for our Dante's Inferno cinematics. The damned shade was deemed too horrific, but the blessed shade worked out just fine.
Poor Beatrice- all murdered and stuff! I worked from in-game designs for her pics here. The client picked a singular bare breast for her tragic scene, although this version would have been more easily rigged. Technicalities! After succumbing to the temptations of wiley Satan, she transmogrifies into the terrible Queen of Hell. Booga booga!
