Big Green Bot

Another doodle.  I start with a photo of some with nice colors and textures- then start a painting based on those colors and textures.  I did add a layer of filtered photo-texture in the process of making this, but it was a different pic than the original inspiration.   Any interest in a book of these types of things?

Onager

Onager- a type of ass (the donkey kind, mind you! )  Also a type of catapult from Roman days.  Here's a chuk-ish vision of a self-propelled artillery that would deliver a kick from the most rugged terrain.  It's a work-in-progress- just another painting exercise, really.

Hauptman Hannah and Pfennig

I painted the codes using vinyl mask by Miracle Paint Masks- fun stuff!  Had some photo ref for Hannah, jiggled around in Photoshop to get the proportions all jiggly.

Flea Cannon

More digital painting practice.  I started with a rejected thumbnail and developed it into a counterpoint for my Winter Warriors piece.  Fun!

HetCats!

The M1070 Heavy Equipment Transporter (HET) is one ginormous truck!   Our guys and gals in uniform are hauling all kinds of heavy loads around the world- salute!

Winter Warriors

I started this as my first doodle on my Asus  Slate- then polished it up a bit on the Cintiq.  Needs more lovin'!

Ready on the set!

Blur has been doing the charming commercials for Pepperidge Farm Goldfish Crackers.  Last season, our plucky little friends put on a talent show, lit by these ingenious (if I do say so myself) follow-spots.  It's a fun project, and a nice switch from the all the heavy, heavy stuff we normally do.

Varooom!

Here's a storyboard panel from our old Wolfenstein cine, just for fun.  A Focke Wulf FW190W blasts down the catapult of the battleship Tirpitz just as the saboteur's charges destroy the V6 atomic missiles aimed at the Allied Capitals!   Will our hero escape?
